In July 2026, Scamps introduces a 2-tier billing system: daycare hours (booked in advance) + services, like walks ($3/10 mins) and grooming ($4/10mins) which are billed after the fact.
There are 2 types of hours: Basic, and Perks.
Here’s how to decide which to choose:
Question 1: Do you need home pick ups (Cedar Cottage only)? If not, go to Question 2. If yes:
–> Map your route to Scamps Pet Place on google maps for the shortest trip. The fee is $0.50/min, so if it’s more than 14 minutes ($7/direction), Perks are a better bet. If it’s less than 4 mins, Basic Hours will always be cheaper, even with pick ups. In the middle…? Need it sometimes…? Try the next question…
Question 2: Do you make your own bookings online? If yes, go to Question 3. If no:
–> We can manage family bookings and cancelations, even with same-day requests (often within a couple of hours), for a fee with our Basic hours ($5 – $10/request), or included with the Perks. If you ask us to add hours, we will always add Perks hours, to manage the request.
Question 3: Do you need same-day service, special time slots, or after hours care?
–> These are included or cheaper with Perks.
Conclusion:
If you are a Do-It-Yourself person, who lives close, plans ahead, books online, and delivers their dog, our Daycare Basic Hours cover the rest: Daycare, basically. Just $7/hour when you buy in bulk!
If you like the little extras, including pick-up and drop-off, account management, and extended hours, the benefits outweigh the costs: go with Perks. Most fees are included for just $2 more/hour, with a free walk on visits over 5 hours.
–> An invoice for requested pick-ups, services, etc., will be submitted on the 25th of the month, for payment by the next month. We will reissue invoices on the 1st. After the first month, additional follow ups on invoices incur a $10 fee. After 3 months, we will contact you.
Final Question: Want us to handle the bills, and save you money on services? Sign up for monthly Autopay to have your fees billed to a credit card on the 25th of the month to save $1/hour.
