Our first groom school program, Toenail Tuesday, is a day for desensitization, maintenance and – with a catchy name – a reminder for the pet fams of Cedar Cottage that nail care can be fun!
Pricing and Benefits
Join us weekly at 9am for the pack walk (buy 4 @ $25, get one free!), or drop in for the nail trim class when it starts at 10:30am at Scamps. We’ll be focused on footsies until 4:30pm for $14/hour, for walk-ins, and just $12.50/hour when you book online, with our “Toenail Tuesday” package.
Scheduling a session once or twice a month gives your pup a consistent routine that gets their foot care covered.
Unused hours get moved into the next month on the 1st.
Class Structure
Week 1: Introduction
When the dogs first arrive, they meet and greet the pack and get comfy. They might make a friend while other dogs demonstrate jumping up on the table, getting groomed, and being rewarded.
When it’s their turn to try, they know what to expect, and there’s no pressure to stay.
There are plenty of chances every hour.
Week 2: Setting the Routine
The second visit, most pups pull their people to come to Scamps as opposed to away from the groomers they’ve visited before. The routine is the same, some of their friends from last week are back, and the treats are flowing!
New dogs see that the pack trusts our walkers and groomers, and that smooths the way.
Week 3: Part of the Pack
Dogs (and humans) thrive with consistency, and most adults quickly grasp a routine that’s repeated.
Toenail Tuesdays make trimming a single step in a series of fun activities, all geared to nourish and care for them from the inside out!

No Risk or Commitment
Got a highly anxious pup? Your results may vary, but we’ve worked with more than 200 dogs in the last year, and for the most part, the formula works. But not always.
We will refund the balance at any time if you don’t believe the process is working. No problem. 👍
Purchase and Book Online
The 4-hour “Toenail Tuesday” package can be found on the services menu for $50 (+tax), and starting in Sept. we’ll be offering up to 5 spots in each weekly class so the pups can meet up on the regular. But don’t worry, toenail trims can still be booked whenever you like, including with walk-ins… even if it’s not a Tuesday 😉
